Industrial openings are sized by the equipment that has to pass through them, not by a catalogue. Sliding, folding and lifting types each solve a different constraint — headroom, side room, or frequency of use — so the type is chosen first and the size second.
What to check before you order
- Fire rating. The rating applies to the complete assembly — leaf, frame, hardware and seals. A rated leaf in an unrated frame does not carry the rating.
- Material and finish. The finish determines how the door looks in five years as much as how it looks on delivery. Stainless and fluorocarbon finishes hold up where painted steel does not.
