Fire-rated windows with a thermal break, for exterior walls that must also insulate.
A thermal break separates the inner and outer aluminium so the frame does not conduct heat straight through the wall. Combined with a fire rating, this is the assembly used where the same window has to insulate in service and hold a fire rating in an event.
What to check before you order
- Installation. Fixings are anchored into the wall, not into the frame lining. On a masonry opening this usually means pre-drilled anchor positions agreed before delivery.
